  1. This is seriously one of the most informative podcast on acting I have ever heard. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  2. Hey Trevor and Albert, loved the Neal McDonough episode! Really cool to listen to how he does his 'craft' and also balances his family life too...

As somebody just starting out it's fab to hear the industry info (I imagine lots of it applies in UK too) and would be great to also hear more on other actors' approaches. :-)

    Looking forward to part II!

  3. I so admire this actor. In refusing to do a sex scene, he has shown integrity. (Source; http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2010/04/actor-neal-mcdonough-refuses-do-sex-scene-%E2%80%93-show) Anything that can offend one's spirit inhibits one's art. Go Neal! You have a new fan!

  4. First introduced to Neil through The Approach in Venice. Though people have sex so I just see it as part of the gig.

  5. I could not have told you Neal's name before seeing him at a bar/restaurant in Hollywood watching the 45th Super Bowl. Of course I recognized him as an actor, but that was pretty much it.

Funny how you know you like someones work, even though you might not remember which movies, which shows you saw. After reviewing his IMDB page, it was like yea, I remember him in Minority Report and of course that character on Desperate Housewives was something else, put on my list to check out Band of Brothers and Traitors as I do not believe I have seen either. And a mental note to check out his cameo in China Beach. And of course now I am going to have to go back and revisit him circling the baseball mound with a whole new perspective.

After listening to your pod cast with Neal, wow, this guy is not just quite an actor, he sounds like one hell of a nice guy and a dedicated family man, congrats on his third child!

At the super bowl party I tried to take a quick photo of Neal, not wanting to bother him as so many actors get hounded by people who have no respect for a persons privacy today. Back in the day an actor could walk down the street, people would wave, say Hi, snap a picture, shack their hand, but basically give them their space...wish it was like that today!

Neal was so gracious, he saw me pointing the camera at him and gave me a thumbs up as if saying its okay go ahead. I certainly appreciated it.

I talked with the woman that was with his party briefly, after reviewing pictures online, thought it might have been Revu's mother, but am not sure. She confirmed my suspicions that he is a great guy, just out enjoying the big game like the rest of us.

What he said in the pod cast about focusing on your work, your craft whatever it is and becoming one of the best if not the best and keeping it simple can apply to all of us, no matter what our work may be.

I am not an actor, nor do I have inspirations to act or direct, though producing would not be out of the question if I had the financial resources...I am just a person who enjoys my escape from reality from time to time watching actors like Neal work their craft. Not to mention there is a very natural tie in between business, movie making that can be mutually beneficial when pursued effectively.

While I can look forward to seeing him in future roles, catching Band of Brothers via the Internet, etc..., I secretly hope that someone will revive the TV show Terriers from the ashes and we get to see what Neal had in store the Tom Cutshaw character, I am sure it would have been fantastic. Shame so many shows with great writing and great acting get canceled these days only because the current rating system does not accurately portray Internet Revenue...I watch all my content, save an occasional movie, only online and watched Terriers via Hulu.com...I will never go back to cable, ever. One day I will have Fiber To The Home (FTTH) and will not have to worry about bandwidth, caps, restrictions and limitations due to out of date pipes...but I digress. My guess is Neal had quite a profile planned for that Tom Cutshaw character on Terriers.

Thank you for producing the pod cast, loved it. Hope you all receive enough donations to continue this work for the others it will most definitely inspire!
